Inclusive Health and Wellbeing at Bevan Healthcare

What is a GP?

GP stands for General Practice. A General Practitioner (GP) is your family doctor and is the main point of contact for general healthcare for NHS patients. All UK residents are entitled to the services of an NHS GP.

Our GPs Practices in Leeds and Bradford give you access to highly skilled doctors who support patients throughout their lives. They help you to manage your health and prevent illness and are trained in all aspects of common illnesses. Your GP will support and represent your best interests to ensure you receive the best possible care. GPs also provide the link to further health services and can refer you for hospital appointments or other specialist care. GP Practices are sometimes also called Medical Centres and also include nursing services.

GP Services are free to everyone regardless of immigration status. You do not need an address to register with a GP.
